Pride Hikoi

The WPF logo and the Queer Endurance in Defiance logo 'Hīkoi' and the intersex inclusive flag, a trans flag and the tino rangatiratanga flag

For access to gender-affirming healthcare

Come down for a solidarity march with our trans* and gender minority whānau for rights to gender-affirming healthcare. The energy of our Hīkoi focuses on the Government’s recent push to restrict access to puberty blockers.

We are proud to be standing with Queer Endurance Defiance (QED) and their partners to support informed healthcare practices, which hugely improve mental and social wellbeing for our rainbow rangatahi.

The hikoi will end on Parliament’s lawn. More information on the route will be available shortly.

Accessibility

  • The route is wheelchair & pushchair accessible

  • Please feel free to wear masks to protect our most vulnerable

  • The event may be loud, so we encourage you to bring headphones if this will be a more accessible experience.
