Ngā Wīra Iti Collective - Small Wheels Communities has organized skate park meetups over Summer and will hold their last meetup as part of the Wellington Pride Festival at Maclean Skate Park in Paraparaumu. We'll be including a Roller Pride Parade along the Marine Parade Waterfront path and also have time for people to share in kai and kōrero.

Ngā Wīra Iti is an informal umbrella group bringing together members of the various small wheels communities for encouragement, connection, skate education and mentoring, and for fun social get togethers. We are all inclusive, but have a focus for Wāhine, Wāhine Māori, Takatāpui, LGBTIQ.

Accessibility

The area around the Skate Park and the pathway along the waterfront are both Wheelchair accessible and there is plenty of outdoor seating. We are currently in the process of working in with disabled communities and organisations such as Dsport to nurture sports such as Wheelchair Motocross and Skating with mobility aids. In the meantime we welcome people with disabilities to join us at all our events.
