People relax at the Pride Picnic, our final event for 2025

Now we’ve had a little time to rest our weary bones, everyone here on the Wellington Pride Festival board has a big list of people we’d like to thank. Pride 2025 was an amazing two weeks and it took an awful lot of help to make that happen! So in alphabeticalish order:

  • All the amazing Out in the City performers who gave their time for free - though you have a final opportunity to contribute koha to them via our Givealittle (and thank you to everyone who’s done that already!)

  • Andrew at Soundbitch

  • Anyone we may have very accidentally left off this list

  • ANZ

  • Burnett Foundation

  • Craig and the Wellington Pride Parade

  • Dame Jthan

  • Em Darling

  • Epic Hospitality

  • Everyone who created their own events as part of the festival

  • Hannah Darling

  • InsideOUT Koaro

  • Ivy Bar for the sponsorship

  • Kiah for the photography

  • Mana whenua

  • MCs King Markiss and Willy Smackntush

  • Molly the amazing stallholder coordinator

  • Orchestra Wellington

  • Our amazing volunteers throughout the festival

  • Paul & the crew at the Wharewaka Function Centre

  • Queer Endurance in Defiance

  • Rainbow Wellington

  • Roxy

  • Stallholders at Out in the City

  • Tasmin and Taylor

  • Wellington City Council as a whole, and especial shout outs to the events staff, the mayor and their unbelievably patient social media team

  • Woolworths for providing food & drinks for our performers

  • Val and Laura, our Marshal trainers

And finally, YOU. Thank you for being part of Pride. There probably wouldn’t be a huge point in putting on a festival without you! Whether you produced and created events, boosted our social media, bought tickets to many shows or just checked out the free events, you played a vital part. Thanks for helping fill Wellington with rainbows, not just over the past couple of weeks but always. We can’t wait to do this all over again next year!
