Make Yourself Heard: The Art of Signwriting

  • Te Tai Ohinga | Youth Hub 203 Willis Street Wellington, Wellington, 6011 New Zealand (map)
A rainbow background with the words "Make Yourself Heard - The Art of Signwriting" above a black and white image of people protesting

Get ready for the Wellington Pride Festival Hikoi and create a sign that celebrates your rainbow identity, inclusivity, and making a statement.

This workshop will open with a short talk from incredible local author Mandy Hager (author of Protest! Shaping Aotearoa).

Once you're inspired it's time to paint out a pride flag, write a meaningful slogan, or chat with Mandy and local drag performer King Markiss as you work on your sign.

All materials are provided.

For ages 14-18.
